Dark Mode ADHD Planner from UsefulPlanner

How to manage ADHD with the help of our ADHD planner?

Hi there and welcome to our Useful Planner community! 💕

I’d like to start by introducing myself: I’m a designer who has been developing planners since 2020. Over the years, I have created more than 100 planners and continuously refine them by adding new features. I dedicate a lot of time to researching new techniques, productivity methods, and organization systems. After countless trials, experiments, and refinements, I have developed my own unique planning systems designed to be effective, overwhelm-free, and easy to use.

Some of the planners feature color-coded planning, which helps with organization and mental clarity. I also focus on creating flexible, customizable planners - what I call a ‘planner constructor.’ This means you get a wide selection of pages to choose from, allowing you to remove what you don’t need and build a planner that works for you, not the other way around. Additionally, I dedicate a significant number of pages to mental health, ensuring that my planners support not just productivity but also well-being and self-care. I spent 4 years creating the products you see in our shop, and I am sure that everyone will find something for themselves. I personally try to plan everything in advance and use the products I create daily. I believe that once you write down a task or problem, you are already 50% closer to solving it. Putting it on paper frees your mind, reducing stress and helping you focus on taking action. In this blog, I will share my tips, tricks, and freebies while guiding you through the world of planning.

Now, let's get to the topic: How do I find the right planner?

1. First and foremost, finding an aesthetically pleasing planner is the key. Planners with a daily view and free space for notes and to-do lists are especially useful. This will allow you to see your day at a glance and break down larger tasks into smaller, more manageable steps. Specialists recommend using color-coding and symbols to differentiate between different types of tasks and deadlines. Depending on your preference and lifestyle, you can choose between printable, digital and Notion versions. If you want to try everything and see what works best for you, you can also buy a pack which includes all 3 formats for a discounted price.
2. With ADHD, it's easy to get bored by a never-ending to-do list, which can lead to procrastination and overwhelm. Take your daily template and start by identifying the most important tasks, then write them down. This will help you to stay focused on what truly needs to be done, rather than getting sidetracked by less important tasks. That's where our Focus Page becomes extremely useful, as it lets you define your priorities and focus on what matters, rather than trying to do everything at once. I use this Focus Page when I work on my planners as well.
Another helpful strategy is breaking down larger tasks into smaller steps. This makes it easier to get started and build momentum. Use the “Important” template to stay on track with deadlines and appointments.
3. One of the biggest benefits of using our ADHD planners is that they allow you to review your progress and adjust your plan as needed. Try to make it a point to take a few minutes to reflect on what worked and what didn't, and make adjustments accordingly. This will help you to stay flexible and adaptable, which is crucial when dealing with ADHD symptoms.
4. Don’t feel the pressure to use your planner every day, if you don’t feel like it. Our planner is undated, so whenever you skip a day or two (or more), you won’t feel the pressure to fill out the days you’ve missed, which will prevent you from feeling overwhelmed. You can copy the daily template (or any other one) as many times as you need. It may take some trial and error to find the right system for you, but the benefits are well worth the effort.

Good luck!
